Julie has been our dog sitter and/or dog walker since 2002. We started out using Julie’s services to sit our two pugs in our home and walk them, and we’ve never looked back! Luckily (and embarrassingly!) for us, Julie would leave our house cleaner than when she got there, which was NOT part of the deal, but nonetheless shows how considerate and professional she is. Our pugs missed her from the moment she left. Over time, the pugs passed on and we welcomed our lab/border x, Peakabo, into our home and Julie became her absolute favourite dog walker! Julie and her pack have been caring for our family for 12 years , maybe more, we are no longer sure.
Our first dog, a chocolate lab named Sadie, had a condition called Megaesophagus which meant she had to be fed sitting up, and sometimes by hand, so that the food would go down. Sadie would bring up her food regularly and often in Julie's truck. It would be a huge mess. Julie walked and housesat our wonderful, lively Sadie for 5 years.
Twelve years ago we got Radar, a black lab pup, to keep Sadie occupied. Now we had two dogs in Julie's care. When Sadie passed away we found a very tiny golden lab called Birdie. She was so small that, at first, Julie carried her in a back pack when walking her crew. When the pack was full Colin, Julie's husband, took Birdie to work with him.
We know Julie and her pack of dogs have taught our dogs necessary manners, they are healthy animals that behave well in all social situations--thanks to Julie.
Julie and Colin have house sat for us many times and we have always returned to a house that looked a whole lot nicer than we left it.
I'm afraid this testimonial will be turning into a book, so I'll just say that our whole family, 2 sons, 3 dogs, Jim and I, know how lucky we are to have found "A Walk in The Park".
